"Saw fluid leaking and the transmission was skipping it turns out this was an issue known to Ford before I purchased" "Clutch and transmission we bad 3 times, could not be resolved and dear bought back the car." It took 3 months before the transmission came in and was fixed." I did drive it some more but then second gear went out completely. They kept it for a couple weeks and then said they would order a Warrenty replacement but I could take the car till it came in. Two days after my last visit it would no longer go into 4th gear at all. "Clutch started not always going into gearing took it to two dealerships over two months and they said they couldn't replicate the problem. are supposed to perform a thorough point check on everything (I get the status sheets), so how did they miss the fact that the clutch was going to need a replacement soon?" So why was this not detected at the previous oil change? Service depts. "When I stopped in for my regular oil change one time, I was notified that, had I driven very much further, the clutch would have gone out, causing me to be at risk for an accident. I took the car back where I bought it and they replaced the clutch." I looked online and found this was a warranty recall. "When I bought the car, I realized the gears were slipping. "Chatter & vibration on take off and 1-2 shift" "The car would stutter when starting up but was fine after shifting into second gear." "Car started hesitating when starting to move after coming to a stop. It would shutter when ever I accelerated." "Within 2 weeks of driving it off the lot i had transmission problems. The slippage has been resolved with that mechanical correction/part replacement." After 500 miles without the software update correcting the slippage, Ford did replace a clutch. Ford's first attempt to correct was a software update. "Car would jerk and shutter during the 1-2 shift." "The dual clutch transmission continues to have problems after replacement with chatter, sputter" I was told by a Ford Representative that this problem will happen again and not to drive the car on long trips" "This is the second transmission problem with this car, but despite this we like the car and are happy with it" And through 3 brutal Chicago winters, it always starts for me and it still has the original battery." Although the shifting was flakey the car always worked. So just looking at it you would think it is just a regular automatic transmission. My car has a six speed manual transmission which is shifted automatically by a computer. They replaced the clutch and reprogrammed, the computer. I took it in and officially complained about the flakey shifting, a week before the 3 year warranty ran out. It aways worked, but not as well as it should. "Shifting was flakey, particularly in Chicago heavy traffic. Ford replaced the clutch assembly under warranty." "Vehicle is an automatic with dual clutch system. Three months later they replaced the clutch again and this one is now failing." One week later, I took it back and they replaced the clutch. "Flaw from design and Ford bought back the care in 2019"
